Thankfully, Bo's breathing was not affected by his reaction. The night before, we had visited Jonathan (my sister in law's fiance) at Panera and Bo ate a blueberry muffin, then we headed home and Bo went to sleep shortly after arriving home. Bo's horrible reaction developed/brewed overnight.
This is what Bo looked like when he woke up... it was terrifying! Our pediatrician was awesome! Bo was quickly diagnosed with a non specific allergic reaction, so Bo has been taking Benadryl around the clock until his symptom disappear completely. Bo will also be taking steroids for the next few days. Dr. Haller would like me to carry Benadryl with me at all times, as well as an Epipen Jr. since Bo's reaction was most likely food induced. (Nothing else had changed other than Bo trying a new food.)
And Bo will need to see an allergist to help narrow down what he may be allergic to since his reaction was pretty significant with his face, hands, feet and boy parts extremely swollen, and large red hives covering his body. With both the steroid and the Benadryl in his system, Bo's reaction had been reduced by about 50% just in the first two hours and now his symptoms are just about completely gone. Bo is still acting like his happy little self, although he is still a little itchy, so please keep him in your prayers!

Food allergies are the worst! Sorry you guys have to experience it too. I am constantly monitoring, inspecting, reading labels everywhere and signing off on snacks that he can have at school. not fun!!
Praying he gets better soon.
